Teen Counselling

With over ten years of experience working in education and six years in clinical practice, I have spent a lot of time working with, hanging out with, and counselling teenagers.

Adolescence can be a complicated time as teens navigate school, relationships with peers and family, puberty, and a growing sense of independence while most often still living at home! I am very passionate about the work that I do with teens because although adolescence can be a challenging time, it is also a time of great self-discovery, growth, and potential.

I am also well aware of the difficulties that can come up during this time, and addressing these in counselling can be timely for managing short and long-term mental health, development, and well-being.

If you or your teenager think that counselling might be a helpful option, feel free to reach out, I would be excited to get started and work together on addressing whatever is bringing you in.

For parents: I usually include a parent in the first session so we can get a full picture together and answer any questions you have. After that, a parent is welcome to join again if your teen feels that would help, though it’s not required. If a serious safety concern comes up, I will always reach out to a parent directly. All sessions are virtual, so your teen can join from wherever is comfortable for them.
